Laminate Flooring

Good type of flooring that was introduced to north America in the 1990's:

Direct pressure laminate ( the most common type) is made up of 4 basic layers

Extremely hard wearing, abrasive-resistant overlay surface of melamine resin;

Natural wood or tile looking décor layer;

Core-high density moisture resistant for strength & wearability

Moisture repellent and stabilizing layer of melamine resin kraft paper

Laminates are very durable and scratch resistant flooring with easy maintenance

Most, if not all, are rated by European class of usage from class 23 to class 33

Warranties range with laminates but are to cover items such as: delamination, fading, wear through, staining. Most are prorated and with the original purchaser only.
